e-integration offers legal security by qualified electronic signature (QES)

A large field of application of the qualified electronic signature is the result of German §14 VAT law, which regulates the use of the qualified electronic signature and its verification for electronic invoice distribution (for instance as a PDF -document).

The German Signature Act (SigG) defines an "electronic signature" as data in an electronic format, which includes other electronic data, or data which is logically connected to it, and which serves as authentication. Moreover, the qualified electronic signature is defined as an advanced electronic signature, which is based on a (valid at the time of generation) qualified certificate and has been created using a secure signature-creation device (SSEE).

It therefore quickly becomes apparent that fulfilling this and many other statutory requirements makes a comprehensive private key infrastructure (PKI) necessary. The implementation of such an operation is expensive and continuous updating and maintenance of processes is multi-layered and complex.

Our solution
  • Connect yourself via just one interface with our e-Invoicing portal and give us your invoice data in any format.
  • e-integration then provides a private key infrastructure operation as a service which meets all trade and commercial law regulations in Germany and the EU. We guarantee that!
  • The QES solution from e-integration is certified by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
  • e-integration signs the invoice data in accordance with German §14 VAT law in the name of the document creator and sends the data to the invoice recipient.

The really special thing about the PwC-certified solution is that e-integration can also verify the signature for the invoice recipient and forward this data. This means that e-integration enables invoice data communication which is 100% digital and which conforms with statutes for the invoice sender, and the invoice recipient too.
